I haven't logged on for ages so am delighted to see how the forum is thriving. Also good to see posts from Jenni and Jeanb and I'm sure I will find other names I know as I read on.

I'm not doing too bad RA wise but now have two trapped nerves in my spine which causes pain and dumbness in my left leg. Luckily it is that leg as I was able to change my old car for an automatic which makes life a lot easier.

Actually it may even be a couple of years since I was last in touch as I don't remember writing about my granddaughter Jaymie who is 22 months old. She now has a 6 week old brother Evan and as you can imagine I've been busy. Plus my 93 year old Mum has been needing more and more help so Barry and I really are the sandwich generation trying to help both of them. Mum finally admitted she couldn't cope in the flat even with carers and is now very happily settled in a care home near us.

I'm off now to read some more of your posts - best wishes Brenda

Hi Brenda and welcome back from me too, though I have only been on here for about six months myself having had RA for lots of years

The sandwich generation certainly makes for a busy life but the rewards that the grandchildren bring are great. I have two grandsons aged 7 & 4 who live close by so we are often on call!

Hope you can get some relief for your trapped nerves soon

Julie

Hi Brenda

Welcome Back.

I turned to an automatic when I had Carpal Tunnel surgery. Love my auto, so much easier.

Look forward to more posts.

Angie.

Hi Brenda, and welcome back - a lot of the original posters have left and gone to Facebook, but there are still some of us left on here.

Keep posting,

Kathleen x

There are quite a few newbies here as well though. 74 in 2014.

hi Brenda,

welcome back.

the forum is much quieter these days, and lots of older members don't post any more as Kathleen says.

Hello Brenda,

Not sure if we've met?

Don't do Facebook, it's something that's never appealed.

Hi Brenda and welcome,

I've only been on the forum since October 2012 so guess we haven't met yet!

I dom't pop on here often but I am sure you will get loads of friendship and support from the members. Do you use Facebook? A lot of the old members are on there and all keep I'm touch.
